The same magazine that I was reading at the time, had a section about Senior Portraits and some of the samples just did not make sense to me. They would make great fine art pieces, but do you really want to have a photo made of your daughter lying on her back, eyes closed, draped in some sort of flowing robes, with a cross hanging to the side? The young lady in this photo looked dead, not like she was preparing to embark on her final year of high school. It was creepy.

Anyway, having said all of that, I want to encourage any parents out there to look at samples of the work of any photographer you are thinking of hiring to photograph your child.
